Ministry of Economy Closes a Commercial Shop in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate for Dealing in Expired Products
SadaNews Economy - The Ministry of National Economy in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, in cooperation with the customs authority and the Veterinary Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture, closed a commercial shop today, Tuesday, by decision of the public prosecution to combat economic crimes.
The closure comes, according to a statement from the Ministry of Economy, after the teams seized expired food items weighing approximately 450 kg during a regulatory tour carried out by the teams on commercial shops to ensure the validity and safety of the products offered for sale.
The Ministry of Economy confirmed the significant efforts being made to control and regulate the market and take legal action against violators to ensure safe and suitable food products reach the citizens.
