"Take Netanyahu's Secrets from His Mouthpieces"...
The mouthpieces of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promote that there is a concerning aspect in the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, which pertains to the implicit American commitment regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state. In the pursuit of extracting Netanyahu's secrets from his mouthpieces regarding this issue, the way these mouthpieces deal with that aspect reveals two matters:
Firstly, there is a conviction within the Israeli leadership that this commitment is nothing more than a verbal tax. As some have noted, Trump's position on Israel, and in reality the stance of previous U.S. administrations, is based on deep commitment and emotional solidarity with the Zionist cause. Regarding the Palestinians, there is no observed sympathy or commitment, neither in the text of the agreement nor in Trump's statements himself, as he clearly expressed when he said that all he seeks is a deal that everyone agrees upon, not to mention that his words about corruption, violence, and "terrorism" as traits of both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas clarify what he believes to be the Palestinians' inability to establish and maintain a state. Meanwhile, it has been hinted that recognition of the Palestinian state by Western countries is abhorrent for many reasons, the most prominent being that there is no such state, and its establishment is not expected in the foreseeable future.
The second matter is that Israel must prevent, with all its might, the establishment of a Palestinian state. In this regard, it has to rely on itself, as the Palestinian state threatens its security and future, and there can be no bargaining on these two matters.
In this context, it is noted that there is an emphasis that Israel is not the one preventing the establishment of such a state, as many claim. According to some other mouthpieces, the "Oslo Agreement" between Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization provided the Palestinians the opportunity to create a state entity to manage their lives, but this has encouraged many of their long-suppressed desires such as "the return to Palestine," in addition to the fact that what has emerged as an alternative to the Palestinian Authority is an entity in the Gaza Strip "characterized by religious extremism, violence, and terrorism!"
And this Israeli stance on the necessity of strong opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state is not only articulated by right-wing figures but is also emphasized by the opposition. For example, Yair Golan, leader of the "Democrats" alliance between the Labor and Meretz parties, which are considered on the left of the Israeli political map, has noted that the two-state solution is the only solution that can ensure long-term security for Israel, but at the same time he pointed out that Israel after October 7 (2023) is not as it was before, and it will not return to the past. He literally wrote: "The collective shock has left feelings of hatred and distrust towards the Palestinians that we have not seen for years. These feelings cannot be ignored, nor their effects, which will not go away on their own unless we acknowledge them and deal with them consciously and responsibly," which shows no strong indicators toward it.
It can be said that this "collective shock" will not only not go away on its own but it also fuels ambitions and aspirations, foremost among them everything related to annexing more Palestinian lands in the West Bank and the displacement that accompanies this annexation.
Israeli assessments draw attention to the fact that behind the ambitions of annexation lies a theory based on the idea that conditions have matured to implement annexation steps based on a number of assumptions, the most important of which is that U.S. President Donald Trump will always stand by Israel, and that what is described as "light annexation" can be promoted as acceptable to Washington and some Arab countries, and that even if Israel proceeds with annexation steps, this will not deprive it of the ability to achieve normalization with the Arab world as it is confident that it has given up the Palestinian cause.
