The Risk of Cancellation Looms over Tens of Thousands of Airline Tickets at Ben Gurion Airport

SadaNews - The risk of cancellation threatens tens of thousands of airline tickets after the U.S. military halted the withdrawal of its refueling planes from Ben Gurion Airport and has returned four other planes amid escalating military tensions, while demanding the return of more in the coming days.

The airport authority warns that the continued presence of these planes will lead to a shortage of parking spaces for commercial aircraft and reduce takeoff and landing slots, which could impose the cancellation of about 10 flights daily starting July 23, threatening the cancellation of 50,000 travel tickets monthly.

These developments come at the peak of the travel season, with expectations that the number of travelers through Ben Gurion Airport will exceed 80,000 passengers daily until the end of this month.
