Injuries in Attacks by Occupation Forces and Settlers in the West Bank

SadaNews - A number of citizens suffered from cases of suffocation due to toxic gas today, Friday, during the invasion of Israeli occupation forces into the village of Al-Mughayer northeast of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that a force from the occupation army invaded the village and fired tear gas canisters around the mosque as worshippers gathered for Friday prayers, resulting in several cases of toxic gas suffocation.

Additionally, the residents of the village of Deir Abu Mishal northwest of Ramallah organized a march rejecting the settlers' takeover of their lands.

Local sources indicated that dozens of citizens, along with several foreign activists, headed to the "Qaran`` hill south of the village after Friday prayers to confront settler attempts to establish a colonial outpost on their land.

It is noteworthy that settlers set up a colonial tent in the area about two weeks ago in preparation to seize the hill.

Furthermore, several citizens sustained suffocation injuries after Israeli occupation forces repressed a demonstration against colonialism, protesting the occupation's seizure of land in the town of Doura southwest of Hebron.

Local sources reported that dozens of citizens participated in a protest against the occupation's seizure of the "Mount Tarousa" area, west of Doura, and its commencement of establishing a new settlement there.

The participants performed Friday prayers near the location before occupation forces attacked them with tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets, leading to the suffocation of some individuals.

Moreover, the occupation forces detained several young men, mistreated them, obstructed the work of ambulance crews, and stopped and searched their vehicles.

The occupation forces, accompanied by a group of settlers, began yesterday excavation and bulldozing work on citizens' lands in the area, in preparation for the establishment of a new settlement there.

This comes after a series of attacks that started last Monday when armed settlers, protected by occupation forces, invaded the area and erected a tent with a large sign announcing the establishment of a new settlement named "Doron."

Furthermore, the extremist Minister of Finance in the occupation government, Bezalel Smotrich, invaded the area last Tuesday, accompanied by several ministers from the occupation government and leaders of the settlers, participating in the laying of the foundation stone for the new "Doron" settlement, which is intended to be established on citizens' lands.

"Doron" is one of 19 new settlements that the occupation government approved last year to be established in the West Bank, as part of plans aiming to expand colonialism and strengthen the takeover of more Palestinian lands.

In a related context, settlers attacked a house in the town of Kifl Haris north of Salfit Governorate early this Friday, causing damage to four vehicles.

The head of the Kifl Haris municipality, Munir Abu Yaqub, reported that a group of settlers attacked a house in the middle of the town, shattering the glass of four vehicles, causing material damage.

It is worth noting that Kifl Haris town is continuously subjected to attacks and incursions into Islamic shrines, which are desecrated by settlers.
