Al-Qudra Reviews Developments of the Palestinian Cause and Prospects for Peace at the National Resilience College

SadaNews - The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Malaysia, Jihad Al-Qudra, reviewed the developments of the Palestinian cause and the latest conditions in the Gaza Strip, as well as the prospects for achieving sustainable peace in light of political efforts and initiatives aimed at ending the war, during a lecture he delivered at the National Resilience College - NRC in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Upon the arrival of Ambassador Al-Qudra, accompanied by advisor Amjad Khmeissa, he was received by the head of the college, Major General Abdul Karim bin Ahmad, the Director of Academic Affairs, retired Major General Dato Abdul Rahim Muhammad Yusof, along with several members of the senior administration and academic staff.

The lecture was initiated at the invitation of the National Resilience College, which is dedicated to preparing military and security leaders, and included participation from senior officers of the Malaysian Armed Forces and national security institutions, in addition to international officers from several Asian countries.

Al-Qudra began his lecture by reviewing the roots of the Palestinian issue and the most significant historical milestones that accompanied the struggle of the Palestinian people, leading up to the current developments, primarily the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, and its humanitarian and political repercussions on the Palestinian people.

He also discussed the latest political efforts aimed at ending the war, touching on the twenty-point initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Gaza, explaining that the Palestinian leadership welcomed the initiative as it provides an opportunity to stop the bloodshed of Palestinians, withdraw Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, allow humanitarian aid in, and initiate the reconstruction process. They viewed it as an entry point that could be built upon to further efforts aimed at achieving sustainable peace.

He emphasized that achieving lasting peace requires addressing fundamental issues related to Palestinian national rights, and providing the necessary stability and security conditions needed to achieve a fair and comprehensive political settlement, ensuring the realization of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Following the lecture, a discussion session was held between the participants and Ambassador Al-Qudra, focusing on the reality of the Palestinian cause in light of the ongoing developments in the Middle East and the implications of regional changes on its future, in addition to the challenges and opportunities related to achieving sustainable peace in the region.

The visit concluded with a gift exchange between Ambassador Al-Qudra and the head of the college, Major General Abdul Karim bin Ahmad.
