Translation by SadaNews - Israel has filed a civil lawsuit before the Magistrate's Court in Haifa, demanding financial compensation against four Palestinian prisoners from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, one of whom lost his life in prison.
According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, as translated by SadaNews, the lawsuit seeks compensation amounting to 2 million shekels, to be paid by the four prisoners including the deceased.
The lawsuit was filed against the martyr prisoner Walid Daqa, Ibrahim Abu Makh, Rushdi Abu Makh, and Ibrahim Bayadseh, all residents of occupied territory, who were accused of killing soldier Moshe Tamam in 1984.
According to the site, the aim of the lawsuit is to recover the amounts paid by Israel to the parents of the slain soldier as compensation for the financial damages incurred by them due to the attack.
The site noted that Israel will confiscate funds and properties of the martyr Walid Daqa if the lawsuit is upheld in court.
