Palestinian Presidency: The Escalation of Terrorist Attacks by Settlers Threatens Efforts to Achieve Stability in the Region

SadaNews - The official spokesperson for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, warned of the danger posed by the escalation of terrorist attacks by settlers against the Palestinian people in the cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank. He stated that this systematic escalation threatens to undermine any international efforts aimed at achieving stability in the region.

In a statement today, Friday, Abu Rudeineh held the Israeli occupation authorities responsible for the serious repercussions of these terrorist attacks, which take place with the support and protection of the occupying army. He emphasized that these actions are part of an Israeli policy aimed at imposing a status quo and entrenching the occupation.

He added that the region will continue to suffer from the ravages of wars and their persistence if a comprehensive and just solution to the Palestinian issue is not reached, based on international legitimacy and international law. This solution must meet the demands of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence on their Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Abu Rudeineh called on the international community, especially the American administration, to intervene immediately to compel the occupying government to halt its aggressive policies and to stop colonization in all its forms on Palestinian land, as it is a violation of international law according to Resolution 2334. He urged the need to stop settler terrorism if they are serious in their efforts to achieve security and stability, and to end wars in the region and the world.

The official spokesperson for the presidency emphasized that the Palestinian people will remain attached to their land and their legitimate national rights, and that policies of terrorism and colonization will not succeed in breaking their will or pushing them to abandon their constants of freedom and independence.
