Pilgrims Head to Arafat to Perform the Greatest Pillar

SadaNews - With the dawn of this Tuesday morning, pilgrims from the House of God began their journey to the sacred plains of Arafat, where the guests of Allah will stand on the ground of Arafat until sunset, increasing their prayers, calls of duty, and remembrance in a majestic atmosphere of faith.

The convoys of pilgrims, while heading to the site of Arafat, were accompanied by a thorough security monitoring from various sectors; security personnel were deployed along vehicle routes and pedestrian pathways to organize the crowds according to the approved escalation and crowd management plans, while ensuring the guidance and safety of the pilgrims.

In light of the complete readiness of all relevant Saudi government sectors serving the guests of Allah, all medical, emergency, and supply services have been provided throughout the site, meeting the needs of the pilgrims who have come from various parts of the world to perform the fifth pillar of Islam, praising Allah for what He has guided them to.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) observed a smooth flow of traffic while the crowds of pilgrims moved from Mina to Arafat.

The pilgrims will, God willing, perform the noon and afternoon prayers together, shortened, with one call to prayer and two Iqamah at the Nimra Mosque; following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who said: "Take your rites from me."

With the sunset of this day, the crowds of pilgrims will begin their movement to Muzdalifah, where they will perform the sunset and evening prayers, and spend the night until dawn on the tenth of Dhu al-Hijjah; emulating the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who stayed there and performed the dawn prayer.
