Bezhakian: We Are Ready to Assure the World That We Do Not Seek to Acquire Nuclear Weapons

SadaNews - Iranian President, Masoud Bezhakian, stated on Sunday that his country is ready to assure the world that we do not seek to acquire nuclear weapons.

The Iranian president added that the negotiation team will not compromise "when it comes to the honor and dignity of our country," as he put it.

A senior Iranian source said to "Reuters" on Sunday that if the Iranian Supreme National Security Council approves the memorandum of understanding with America, it will be sent to Supreme Leader Khamenei for final approval.

Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, spoke on Sunday about the possibility of a statement regarding Iran's war later in the day, indicating that the United States has made progress regarding Iran after working with Gulf countries. He reiterated the U.S. rejection of Iran possessing a nuclear weapon, confirming that Washington is discussing technical issues concerning Iran's nuclear program.
