Sherine Withdraws Cases Against Her Brother, Saving Him from Prison
SadaNews - After years of disputes, Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab has resolved her issues with her brother Mohamed by withdrawing the cases against him, "out of concern for family ties and kinship."
Sherine has withdrawn the latest case in which her brother was sentenced to six months in prison for assaulting her, thus saving him from jail. On Wednesday, she decided to withdraw from pursuing further legal action and to resolve the conflict amicably.
This is not the first time that the owner of "Gharh Tani" has withdrawn cases against her brother, as she had previously dropped two other cases for family reasons.
Especially since Sherine has embarked on a new phase by returning to work with the release of her latest song "Taba'a Taba'a," which has achieved great success and reflected how much her fans missed her and her previous successes after a period of turmoil and absence.
Years of Disputes and Legal Pursuits
It is worth mentioning that the disputes between Sherine and Mohamed have seen several chapters of back and forth and legal pursuits, especially during her last marriage to composer Hossam Habib and after that, where Mohamed accused Habib multiple times through social media posts of intervening and provoking discord between them.
In March, the Mokattem Misdemeanor Court in Cairo sentenced the Egyptian artist’s brother to six months in prison, along with a bail of 2,000 Egyptian pounds, due to accusations of assaulting her and destroying her belongings in Mokattem.
She is Preparing a Surprise for Her Fans
The court also ordered Mohamed to pay her $120,000, along with legal interest at a rate of 4% from the date of demand until payment, stemming from the dispute over the seizure of her official accounts on social media.
Sherine has officially returned to the musical scene recently after a long absence with the song "Al-Hodn Shok," followed by "Taba'a Taba'a."
Moreover, musical distributor Hatem Abdel Aziz stated in exclusive remarks to "Al-Arabiya.net" that Sherine is also preparing a new surprise for her fans in the upcoming period, noting that she has expressed her desire to return strongly to the artistic arena and not to stay away from her audience again.
Additionally, the owner of "Ala Bali" is preparing to hold a concert on August 7 in the North Coast of Egypt.
