Death of 8 Iranian Soldiers in American Attacks

SadaNews - The Iranian army announced today, Wednesday, the death of 8 soldiers from its air and naval forces in the American strikes that targeted Bandar Abbas and Bushehr in the south of the country last night.

The public relations of the Iranian army stated that "following the criminal aggression of the terrorist American army against areas in Islamic South Iran at dawn today, 8 valiant men of the air and naval forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran were martyred in Bandar Abbas and Bushehr while defending the Islamic homeland, after being hit by enemy projectiles."

The Islamic Republic of Iran's army announced, while emphasizing its "steadfastness until the last breath in the face of enemies," that it "will avenge the blood of the martyrs of the Islamic homeland from the enemies of this land."

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the temporary agreement to end the war with Iran "is over," and that the United States may launch new strikes against it tonight, after Tehran attacked ships in the Strait of Hormuz and Arab countries.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said that its forces targeted more than 80 sites, including Iranian air defense systems, coastal radar sites, and boats belonging to the Revolutionary Guard, on Wednesday.

It added that these strikes aim to weaken Iran's capability to continue attacking international trade in Hormuz.

An American official confirmed after the attacks targeting oil tankers in Hormuz that "Iran's actions in the strait are absolutely unacceptable to the United States, and there will be severe consequences."
