Injuries and Arrests in Attacks by Occupation Forces and Settlers in the West Bank

SadaNews - A number of citizens, including children, were injured with bruises and cases of asphyxiation, and two brothers were arrested on Wednesday, following an attack by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in Hawara east of Yatta, south of Hebron.

Local sources reported that a group of settlers, under the protection of occupation forces, attacked citizens and their properties in the Hawara area east of Yatta, physically assaulting them after allowing their herds of livestock into the fields of the residents, which led to injuries among several people, including children, with bruises and cases of asphyxiation due to pepper spray being used on their faces, and they were treated on-site by Red Crescent teams.

Furthermore, the occupation forces present at the location to secure the settlers' attacks arrested the two brothers Mustafa and Ismail Al-Jbour.

Meanwhile, settlers smashed the vehicle of a citizen after attacking him from the village of Al-Mughayer northeast of Ramallah, while he was passing through the Merj Sia road.

Local sources reported that settlers stopped the citizen's vehicle and smashed its windows after attacking him, amid ongoing assaults by settlers against citizens and their properties.

In this context, Israeli occupation forces continued to close the Merj Sia area connecting the villages of Al-Mughayer and Abu Falah, preventing citizens from entering or exiting the area.

Sources added that the occupation forces are still enforcing a closure on the area, obstructing the movement of citizens while ongoing attacks by settlers continue, hindering residents' access to their lands and movement between the two villages.

Additionally, settlers attacked citizens' vehicles with stones on the main road connecting the villages of Ramoun and Deir Debwan east of Ramallah.

Local sources reported that groups of settlers threw stones at citizens' vehicles as they passed on the main road between the two towns, causing damage to several of them.
