One killed and serious injury in shooting in Lod... The death toll of Arabs rises to 105

Sada News - A man was killed and another seriously injured this morning, Thursday, in a shooting crime that targeted them inside a vehicle in the city of Lod, at a time when murder and violence in the Arab community continue to rise, amidst ongoing police inaction against organized crime.

Local sources reported that the victim of the murder in Ramla is Ali Suleiman Al-Shamali, who was killed by heavy gunfire that also resulted in the serious injury of another man.

According to available information, the two victims were inside a vehicle in Lod when they were shot at, resulting in the death of one at the scene and the injury of the other, who was seriously wounded and transported to the hospital.

Medical teams reported that they received a notification at 07:27 about two injured persons in a "violent incident" in the city of Lod, where the medical team pronounced a man in his forties dead after finding him without pulse or breath.

Another person in his fifties was taken to "Shamir – Asaf Harofeh" hospital suffering from serious injuries, and his condition was described as unstable.

Two paramedics from the medical team stated that they arrived at the scene to find the injured inside the vehicle, noting that one was unconscious and suffering from serious penetrating injuries, while initial treatments were provided to the second injured person before he was transported to the hospital.

The occupation police claimed to have begun investigating the circumstances of the crime, while suggesting, according to their narrative, that the background may be linked to a "continuing bloody conflict".

The police stated that its members started collecting evidence from the crime scene, alongside conducting search operations for suspects, without announcing any arrests so far.

105 killed in the Arab community since the beginning of the year

With the death of the man in Lod, the death toll from murders in the Arab community since the beginning of this year rises to 105, amidst an unprecedented increase in shootings and organized violence.

Arab towns are witnessing a continuous escalation in murders and shootings, amid ongoing accusations against the Israeli police of inaction against organized crime, despite the widening circle of victims and the near-daily recurrence of crimes.

In recent days, a young man, Qassem Saleh Khateeb (23 years old) from Shfaram, was killed in a shooting crime, while two young men were seriously injured in separate shooting incidents in Tayibe and Jisr az-Zarqa.

Also, last Tuesday, the body of Younes Abu Ghanem (50 years old) from the city of Lod was found inside a covered facility that had caught fire near "Bnei Brak", amidst suspicion of murder.

Data indicates that the majority of crime victims in the Arab community since the beginning of the year were killed by gunfire, at a time when the state of personal insecurity continues in Arab towns, without tangible steps to stop the rampant crime and violence.
