Authority: Fire on Board Cargo Ship Hit by Unknown Projectile Near Doha
SadaNews: The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority reported today, Sunday, that a bulk cargo ship has reported being targeted by an unknown projectile while sailing 23 nautical miles northeast of the Qatari capital, Doha.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority added that the projectile caused a small fire that has been extinguished.
The authority noted that the ship's captain did not report any injuries or environmental impact due to the incident.
Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the source of the projectile.
Vessels in the area have been advised to exercise caution and report any suspicious activities to the authority.
