The White House: Trump Holds All the Winning Cards Against Iran
SadaNews - As Washington awaits Iran's response to the latest American proposal to end the war, Deputy White House Spokeswoman Anna Kelly confirmed that the United States holds the upper hand in the conflict with Iran and seeks to completely strip it of its nuclear ambitions.
Kelly stated in remarks to CNN today, Saturday, "It is now clearer than ever that President Donald Trump holds all the winning cards, while his national security team works to permanently end Iran's nuclear ambitions."
She emphasized that America "is growing stronger as a result of the tremendous success of the Epic Fury operation, while Iran becomes weaker day by day."
"Choking Iran's Economy"
The White House confirmed last night, Friday, that the U.S. embargo imposed on Iranian ports is "extremely successful" and continues to choke Iran's economy.
It also clarified that Trump "keeps all options on the table" in dealing with Tehran amidst escalating military tensions and increasing economic pressures on it.
Meanwhile, intelligence assessments from the CIA indicated that Tehran could last between 3 to 4 months under the U.S. blockade before signs of economic collapse begin, especially since it was already suffering before the war erupted on February 28.
This comes as the Iranian side is expected to deliver its response to the American proposal within the next few hours, as announced by Trump yesterday.
It is worth noting that the U.S. President has repeatedly warned in recent days that if an agreement is not reached, the option of military strikes remains on the table.
He also hinted at the possibility of reviving the "Freedom Project" to escort commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, after having suspended it two days after its launch, attributing the reason at the time to progress in negotiations with the Iranian side.
