The President Delivers a Speech at the Opening Session of the Eighth General Conference of Fatah Movement
SadaNews - The executive director of the eighth conference of the Fatah movement, Monir Salameh, stated that President Mahmoud Abbas will deliver a speech at the opening of the eighth general conference of Fatah on the fourteenth of this month, which will last for three days.
Salameh clarified in a statement to the official radio that representatives of the diplomatic corps, factions, and national figures will participate in the opening session of the conference.
He confirmed that the Fatah Movement has completed all preparations for holding its eighth conference with the participation of 2,580 members distributed across four arenas: Ramallah, Gaza, Cairo, and Beirut, considering that holding the conference in this synchronized manner represents a significant challenge and a message affirming the movement's determination to renew its legitimacy and inject new blood into its leadership and organizational frameworks.
Salameh explained that invitations have been distributed to the majority of conference members, while the process of completing membership data and logistical and technical preparations for the conference has begun.
He indicated that the third day of the conference will witness the nomination and voting process to elect members of the Central Committee and the Revolutionary Council, where voting will be secret and the counting process will be conducted publicly to ensure transparency.
