Mustafa Appreciates the Role of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission in Supporting the Resilience of Targeted Communities and Villages
SadaNews - Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Mustafa reiterated his commitment to continue the government's efforts, under the directives of the President, to mobilize all resources to enhance the resilience of our people, despite the difficult conditions we are experiencing, financial blockade, and the rising crimes of settlers.
This came during his visit to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission today, Monday, where he met with the chairman of the commission, Mu’ayyad Shaaban, and the commission's staff.
The Prime Minister praised the direct interventions of the commission through its various teams in the directorates and offices spread across the provinces of the homeland, alongside various partners for their efforts in strengthening the resilience of targeted communities and villages by providing community protection tools, supporting popular committees, rehabilitating lands, establishing agricultural roads, and legal defense against demolition and confiscation orders, in addition to its role in documenting the crimes of the occupation and its settlers, and issuing periodic reports that have become a reference for various international bodies and for our diplomatic efforts before representatives of countries and international organizations.
Mustafa directed the commission and national and partnering institutions to unify efforts regarding the documentation of occupation crimes and settler terrorism with facts, figures, and photographs, according to internationally recognized standards, as well as enhancing programs to attract foreign allies. He also indicated that the European Union, in coordination with the government, will soon launch a comprehensive program to support victims of settlement terrorism.
The Prime Minister was informed by the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission about the interventions provided by the commission and its local and international partners to citizens in all locations, especially those continuously subjected to settler attacks and the occupation's plans aimed at seizing Palestinian land, along with efforts to intensify field and popular presence, and legal interventions to protect Palestinian national assets.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission continues to perform its field and national role despite the difficult circumstances, through an integrated work system that relies on daily monitoring and precise documentation of violations as a central lever for the legal tool, where field incidents are converted into documented and well-prepared files used in litigation and accountability processes.
The commission provides its legal services through law offices within the Green Line and is responsible for the legal defense of approximately 3,000 cases related to Palestinian construction and the cancellation, freezing, or halting of demolition and confiscation orders, thus enhancing the presence of the Palestinian legal narrative in the face of the colonial control system.
