(Video) Attacks by settlers in Nablus.. Ongoing raid for 15 hours in occupied Jerusalem areas
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces have been conducting a continuous raid for more than 15 hours on Qalandia refugee camp and the towns of Ram and Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem, arresting over 35 young men, and raiding and damaging several homes and citizens' properties.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation forces have been raiding the three areas since early dawn, carrying out extensive searches of homes, converting some into military barracks after forcing residents to evacuate, coinciding with the launch of drones and a heavy military presence.
It was added that the raids resulted in several injuries, including gunshot wounds and others due to beatings, alongside dozens of cases of suffocation, amid intense live ammunition fire and tear gas canisters launched inside residential neighborhoods.
The report noted that the occupation forces launched a wide-scale arrest campaign, detaining dozens of citizens, alongside conducting field interrogations inside homes, while closing several roads and entrances, leading to near-complete paralysis of public life.
The occupation forces also notified the demolition of dozens of residential and commercial establishments in the vicinity of the raids, escalating alongside military operations ongoing in the three areas.
The Jerusalem Governorate confirmed that the raids are still ongoing at the moment of this report, amid additional military reinforcements and field escalation covering the entire northern perimeter of Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate condemned this escalation and the accompanying violations against citizens, warning of its serious repercussions, and calling on the international community for urgent intervention to stop these assaults.
In a related context, settlers attacked citizens' homes in the village of Jalud for the second time on Monday.
Local sources reported that large groups of settlers attacked citizens' homes and surrounded a number of young men in one of the sheds within the village, while their fate remains unknown until the time of this report, and it is unclear if there are any injuries.
A child and a young man were reported injured during the earlier attack by settlers on the village.
