Iran Announces Full Opening of the Strait of Hormuz During Remaining Days of Ceasefire
SadaNews - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced today, Friday, that Tehran will fully open the Strait of Hormuz to all commercial ships during the remaining period of the ceasefire.
Araqchi added that the transit of ships in the strait "will be through the coordinated route previously announced by the Iranian Ports Authority.".
He indicated that this step comes in line with the ceasefire in Lebanon.
U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted on Friday after Iran's announcement of the complete opening of the strait, stating that "Iran has announced the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz and it is ready for navigation.".
The U.S. President wrote on the "Truth Social" platform: "Iran just announced that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open and ready for complete passage. Thank you!".
