Rubio: The End of the War on Iran is Not Today or Tomorrow, But it Will Come

SadaNews - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated in an interview with Fox News that the United States is nearing its military objectives in Iran with extraordinary combat efficiency, adding that "the end of the war is not today or tomorrow, but it will come."

He explained that Washington sees a "finish line" in the conflict, which has entered its fifth week, noting that President Donald Trump will not allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon under any circumstances, and will not permit any nuclear threat against the United States now or in the future.

Rubio pointed out that Iran has been gathering the components necessary to produce nuclear warheads and showcased last week ballistic missiles that they had previously denied the existence of.

He added that Tehran has rejected offers from friendly countries to relinquish its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, which has no civilian or medical uses, and its sole purpose is to produce a nuclear bomb.

The Secretary emphasized that Iran is experiencing its weakest military and political state in 25 years, and that the U.S. military is close to achieving all of its objectives.

Regarding diplomacy, Rubio stated that the United States will remain prepared for dialogue, with a possibility of holding a direct meeting with Iran at some point, but it will not tolerate or be deceived by attempts to exploit negotiations.

He noted that any disruption of commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz is considered a violation of international law, asserting that Washington will reconsider its relationship with NATO after the conflict ends.
