Hezbollah announces targeting of 3 Israeli bases, one of which is 75 kilometers away
SadaNews - Lebanese Hezbollah announced early on Sunday that it had bombed several Israeli military bases in response to what it described as "the enemy's persistence in bombing civilians, displacement, and the demolition of homes."
The party explained - in a statement - that it targeted the Raghfaim military base south of Haifa with precision missiles, noting that it includes training camps for the Golani Brigade in the Israeli army and is 65 kilometers away from the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
Hezbollah added - in another statement - that it also targeted the Ein Shemer base, which is a missile air defense headquarters east of Hadera, located 75 kilometers from the border.
The party also announced an attack on the Biriya base north of Safed using kamikaze drones.
Israeli Channel 12 reported early on Sunday that rockets were fired from Lebanon towards the Galilee region in northern Israel and southern Haifa, while the Israeli Home Front confirmed the activation of sirens in 10 towns in northern Israel due to fears of a drone incursion from Lebanon.
Hezbollah had announced it executed 39 military operations on Saturday alone, using rockets, drones, and artillery shells against Israeli settlements, forces, vehicles, and military sites, bringing the total number of attacks by the party since March 2 to 967 attacks.
In contrast, the Israeli occupation army announced on Saturday that 9 military personnel, including two officers, were injured due to missile launches from southern Lebanon.
Israeli radio reported that 7 soldiers and 2 officers were injured as a result of rockets fired at them from southern Lebanon, without clarifying whether the injuries were caused by the rockets falling or being intercepted.
The party indicated that its fighters targeted a manned reconnaissance aircraft of type "RC12" in the skies of the western Bekaa region of eastern Lebanon, forcing it to retreat. According to the party's statements, the attacks targeted 3 settlements in northern Israel: the malikiya, Avivim, and Shlomi. It also clarified that it targeted a Hummer vehicle and 7 Merkava tanks with guided missiles in the towns of Qantara, Dabbin, and Baiyada in southern Lebanon, confirming direct hits.
It was announced - on Saturday - that it targeted military bases in northern Israel with drones and missiles, namely Mischar, which it described as the main intelligence headquarters for the northern region, and Dado, the command headquarters for the Israeli army in the northern region, in addition to an artillery position in the Zahroura area, and a radar site in the town of Baiyada.
Hezbollah's operations yesterday included targeting 10 gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in southern Lebanon, in the towns of Dabb, Baiyada, Taybah, Qantara, and the area of the Triangle of the Valley of the Eyes. The party also noted that it engaged in 4 clashes with the Israeli army at various sites.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Israelis in the city of Akko and the regions of Haifa Bay and northern Galilee went to shelters 16 times since midnight due to rocket and drone fire from Lebanon.
