Israeli Occupation Army Announces the Death of an Israeli Soldier in Southern Lebanon
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army announced this morning, Sunday, the death of one of its soldiers in the ongoing battles in southern Lebanon.
The occupation army stated that during an incident in southern Lebanon, a soldier was killed and 3 others were moderately wounded.
In a statement from the army, it was mentioned that a 22-year-old soldier from New Haven, Connecticut, "fell during combat in southern Lebanon" on Saturday, noting that he belongs to the 890th battalion of the paratroopers brigade.
It pointed out that the soldiers were evacuated to receive medical treatment at the hospital, and their families were informed.
The deceased soldier is the fifth since the resumption of the war with Hezbollah on March 2nd.
The Israeli army announced on Saturday the injury of several officers and soldiers in southern Lebanon due to separate incidents, as it stated.
The Israeli army said, "A soldier was seriously injured yesterday, Friday, and another officer was moderately injured due to the launch of an anti-tank missile during a clash in southern Lebanon."
It added, "During the night and in another incident, an officer was seriously injured, and 6 soldiers were moderately injured due to the launch of rockets towards the army forces operating in southern Lebanon."
