Israeli Airstrikes on Lebanon and Hezbollah Rocket Attacks toward the Galilee

SadaNews - On Wednesday, the Israeli army continued its military escalation in Lebanon, renewing its warnings to residents of the southern suburb of Beirut, amidst ongoing airstrikes targeting residential areas and infrastructure, parallel to the continued military operations in the south.

In response, Hezbollah announced that it launched approximately 30 rockets toward northern Israel during the early hours of Wednesday, in addition to executing drone attacks targeting towns in the upper Galilee, where Israeli defenses managed to intercept several of them.

Several border towns, including Kiryat Shmona, areas in the upper Galilee, and the city of Safed, experienced repeated sirens following the detection of rocket launches and drone attacks from Lebanon.

Hezbollah stated in its releases that it targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers in border sites and towns using rockets and drones, and announced the targeting of the command center of the northern region of the Israeli army north of the city of Safed, in addition to a gathering of vehicles and soldiers in the town of Naqoura, and targeting the Birya barracks in the upper Galilee.

The party also indicated that it targeted an Israeli fighter jet with surface-to-air missiles while it was conducting an airstrike in southern Lebanon, as part of the ongoing confrontations at the border.

On the other hand, the National News Agency reported that the Israeli army shelled the towns of Maroun al-Ras, Yaron, and the outskirts of Bint Jbeil with artillery fire, while the Israeli army announced that it eliminated several Hezbollah elements and destroyed positions and weapon storage sites in southern Lebanon, confirming that the 36th Division forces continue to expand their operations against the party's infrastructure in the area.
