Death of a Moroccan Civil Contractor with the UAE in an Iranian Attack in Bahrain
SadaNews - The UAE Ministry of Defense mourned on Tuesday a Moroccan civil contractor for the UAE armed forces, who was killed during a routine mission in Bahrain as a result of an Iranian missile attack that targeted the kingdom.
The ministry stated that the blatant Iranian assault resulted in the injury of five members of the UAE Ministry of Defense.
In this context, the ministry announced that its air defenses dealt today, Tuesday, with 5 ballistic missiles and 17 drones coming from Iran.
The Ministry of Defense mentioned that the UAE air defenses have dealt with 357 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,806 drones since the onset of the overt Iranian assaults.
These attacks led to the deaths of 2 members of the armed forces and the deaths of 6 civilians of Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities, and injuries to 161 individuals with varying degrees of injuries, ranging from minor to severe, including Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, and Tunisian nationalities.
The UAE Ministry of Defense affirmed its preparedness and readiness to respond to any threats and firmly confront everything that targets the security of the state, ensuring its sovereignty, security, and stability, and protecting its interests and national resources.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced the detection of 17 hostile ballistic missiles in the country's airspace and the destruction of 13 of them over the past 24 hours.
He indicated that the interception resulted in debris causing limited material damage and the disruption of electricity transmission lines.
The Saudi army announced the interception of a large number of drones that targeted the eastern region.
