The Presidency: Solving Middle East Issues Begins with Resolving the Palestinian Cause
SadaNews - The official spokesperson for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, stated that the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, which results in daily martyrdom, with the latest being 3 martyrs this morning, in addition to the assaults by settlers in the West Bank involving killing, burning, and destruction, will not change the essence of the conflict and will not legitimize anyone. As long as the occupation persists, there will be no security or stability in the region or the world.
He added that the only solution to the crises and wars afflicting the Middle East is a just resolution to the Palestinian cause in accordance with international legitimacy, the Arab Peace Initiative, and international law. Although this is a long, complicated, and bloody process, it remains the only option to spare the world more catastrophes of war.
Abu Rudeineh pointed out that although the available options for the region and the world are difficult and dangerous due to the continuation of wars and crises, and the erosion of the standards of international legitimacy and international law, there remains an opportunity to restore regional stability and halt the dangerous repercussions of these wars on the international system through striving to achieve a future settlement based on ending the occupation and granting the Palestinian people their legitimate rights to freedom and independence, and realizing the independence of their Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, along with the West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to Arab and international legitimacy and international law.
