Explosions in Isfahan and Ahvaz, and the Iranian Army Downs Armed Drone
SadaNews - Iranian media reported hearing the sound of explosions this Sunday morning in the city of Isfahan in central Iran, coinciding with similar explosions in the city of Ahvaz in Khuzestan province in the southwest of the country.
The Israeli army announced early Sunday the start of a wave of "night strikes" targeting infrastructure in Tehran.
The army clarified that these attacks came after the approval of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to launch strikes in response to Iranian missile attacks that targeted the areas of Arad and Dimona on Saturday, resulting in dozens injured, some in critical condition, and the destruction of an entire neighborhood in Arad according to Hebrew broadcasting authorities.
For its part, the Iranian army announced today, Sunday, the success of its air defenses in downing an armed drone belonging to the "Israeli-American hostile forces" over the skies of the capital Tehran.
It confirmed in a statement the destruction of the drone before it was able to carry out any operation, indicating that the total number of drones that have been downed since the outbreak of hostilities on February 28 reached 127 drones.
These developments come amid a conflict that began in late February, which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people in Iran, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and prominent security officials, while Tehran continues its responses with missiles and drones.
