Execution of a Man in Iran on Charges of Espionage for Israel
SadaNews - Iranian authorities executed a man on Wednesday who was convicted of espionage for Israel, according to the country's judiciary.
The Mizan news agency, affiliated with the judiciary, stated, "The execution was carried out this morning, Wednesday, against a person convicted of espionage for the Zionist entity, who had sent pictures and information about sensitive locations in the country to Mossad agents."
The agency added that Kourosh Kivani was arrested during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June, during which the United States struck Iranian nuclear facilities.
It detailed the suspect’s meetings with members of the Israeli external intelligence agency Mossad, explaining that he received training in "six European countries and in Tel Aviv."
This is the first execution announced by Iranian authorities since the outbreak of the war in the Middle East, following an Israeli-American attack on Iran on February 28.
In the same context, the Tasnim news agency reported that authorities arrested about 75 people in Alborz Province in northern Iran on charges related to links with terrorist groups and anti-security networks, as part of the government’s efforts to combat activities that threaten internal stability.
