Israel Plans for At Least 3 More Weeks of Fighting Against Iran
SadaNews - Israeli media reported on Sunday evening, March 15, 2026, that the Israeli army is preparing to continue military operations against Iran for several additional weeks, amid ongoing military tensions between the two sides.
Maariv newspaper quoted an Israeli army spokesperson in statements to CNN, stating that Israel is planning for at least three additional weeks of fighting, pointing out that "thousands of targets remain within the military target bank."
He emphasized that the Israeli army is ready, in coordination with the United States, for operational plans extending up to the Jewish holiday of "Passover" in about three weeks and possibly beyond.
In contrast, the newspaper quoted an Iranian security official saying that there is currently no scenario on the table for a ceasefire or an end to the war.
For its part, Haaretz newspaper reported that estimates within the Israeli army indicate that Iran is not currently producing ballistic missiles on its territory, after a significant portion of its military capabilities were damaged.
According to Israeli estimates, about two-thirds of Iran's military production capabilities have been impaired, and approximately 70% of the ballistic missile launch platforms that Iran possessed have been targeted and are now out of service.
Despite this, the Israeli army notes that previous estimates suggested it would take Iran years to rebuild its military capabilities, yet it has actually managed to recover at a faster pace than expected.
