Trump: Iran's Regime Will Fall But Perhaps Not Immediately
SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the Iranian people will move to overthrow the current regime following the U.S. and Israeli attack, but he noted in an interview broadcast on Friday that this may not happen immediately.
Trump told Fox News, "I really believe it’s a very difficult hurdle for those who don’t have weapons. I think it’s a very big obstacle (...) It will happen, but perhaps not immediately."
On Friday, Trump threatened a "total destruction" of Iran's governing regime, while several senior officials took to the streets of Tehran to participate in the "Quds Day" march, which is a rare public appearance two weeks after the start of the U.S.-Israeli attack.
In the interview with Fox News aired on Friday, Trump promised Iran more violent strikes. He said, "We will hit them very hard over the next week."
