The New Iranian Leader: We Will Continue to Confront the United States
SadaNews - The new Iranian leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a statement, the first of its kind, delivering firm messages regarding the U.S. military presence in the region and Iranian national unity, affirming that Tehran is determined to confront what he described as "plans for domination" over the countries of the region.
The Iranian leader emphasized in his statement the necessity of immediately closing all U.S. bases in the region, considering these bases as mere tools for controlling the fates of peoples. The statement affirmed the following points:
He stated that Iran finds itself "compelled" to continue targeting U.S. bases in response to their threats.
Khamenei clarified that this military escalation against Washington does not contradict Tehran's belief in the importance of friendship and cooperation with neighboring countries.
On a significant domestic issue, the Iranian leader announced the thwarting of attempts to divide the country, emphasizing the resilience of Iran's territorial unity and integrity against external attempts to destabilize it.
The new supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, confirmed the failure of the attempts to divide the country, stressing that the Strait of Hormuz must remain closed and explaining that "the enemy’s bases in the region aim to control their countries."
Khamenei, in his first strategic statement after assuming office, said: "We will not hesitate to avenge the blood of the martyrs, especially the martyrs of the Minab school."
The statement, which the Iranian official announcement called "the message of a strategic nature," included seven key axes: the martyr commander of the Islamic Revolution, the role and responsibilities of the people, the tasks of the armed forces, the responsibilities of state executive agencies, the role of the resistance front, the positions of the countries in the region, mechanisms for confronting enemies and challenges.
Khamenei stressed the importance of having a significant presence in the arena, including the overwhelming presence against the enemy in the "Quds Day" marches, which should be a concern for everyone.
