Katz: The War on Iran Aims to Thwart Its Nuclear and Missile Programs and Regional Influence

SadaNews - Israeli Security Minister, Israel Katz, stated on Wednesday that the war on Iran aims to prevent Tehran from returning to its nuclear program or resuming large-scale production of ballistic missiles, and to eliminate its regional influence. This was during a visit to the "Negev" airbase in the Negev desert.

During the visit, Katz met with pilots of the F-35I squadron and was briefed by base leaders on the military operations carried out by the Air Force as part of the war against Iran. He also had a conversation with U.S. Air Force pilots and expressed his gratitude for the military cooperation between both sides.

Katz addressed the pilots, according to a statement from the Israeli Ministry of Security, saying, "I want to thank you; you are amazing. You have no idea how much you contribute together to our ability to make decisions."

He added: "You give us total confidence in our decision-making ability, and that at a certain time, 2000 kilometers away from here, things will happen as planned." Katz claimed that the military operations are achieving their goals, stating: "We are achieving the objectives, destroying capabilities and striking our greatest enemy."

He continued that the goal of these operations is to "ensure that Iran does not return to its nuclear program or large-scale missile production and that it stops supporting its allied forces in the region." He concluded by saying that the capabilities of the Air Force "enable the Prime Minister and the political leadership to make decisions and expand partnerships during these operations," adding, "Your success is the success of all the people of Israel."
