Saudi Arabia Affirms Its Full Right to Protect Its Security and Territorial Integrity

SadaNews - Saudi Arabia affirmed its full right to take measures that ensure the protection of its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as to deter aggression. In this context, it praised the capabilities of the Saudi air defenses in intercepting and destroying hostile missiles and drones that attempted to target sites and facilities within the homeland.

This came during a cabinet session on Tuesday, conducted via video conference, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also the Prime Minister.

At the beginning of the session, the Crown Prince briefed the council on the content of telephone communications that took place in the past few days with the leaders of several brotherly and friendly countries, as part of the ongoing consultation regarding the latest developments in the region and their implications for regional and international security and stability.

The council strongly condemned the heinous Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as several Arab, Islamic, and friendly nations, and reiterated its commitment to counter threats to security and stability and the blatant violation of international charters and laws by attacking civilian objects, airports, and oil facilities.

Information Minister Salman Al-Dosari explained that the Cabinet reviewed Saudi Arabia's ongoing role, stemming from its approach of supporting solidarity, cooperation, and coordination with its Gulf and Arab surroundings in addressing current regional challenges. He appreciated, in this context, the contents of the joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, and the ministerial meeting of the Arab League, which condemned the brutal Iranian attacks.
