Amid War, Trump's Sons Invest in Drone Manufacturing Company

SadaNews - Two of the sons of U.S. President Donald Trump are supporting a new business venture to produce military drones, raising questions about conflicts of interest amid Trump's leadership in the Iran war.

An official statement described Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. as prominent investors in the merger of "Poweros," a company specialized in producing autonomous drones, with "Orius Greenway Holdings," a publicly traded company that operates golf courses in Florida.

The new company, also named "Poweros," will manufacture drones "for military and commercial use in high-risk environments," according to the company's press release, which considered the war in the Middle East as evidence of the project's viability.

Matthew Sacre, President of "Orius Greenway Holdings," stated that "the need for autonomous technologies and their applications, like those produced by Poweros, are making headlines due to the ongoing developments in the Middle East and other regions."

He added that this business merger between the two companies "is becoming increasingly significant amid the current geopolitical uncertainty."

Jordan Lipovitz, Vice President of the NGO "Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics," described the Poweros project as "shocking in an administration filled with troubling conflicts of interest."

Lipovitz stated: "This comes at a time when there is said to be a dire need for a large number of drones due to the war partially ignited by Trump, which will continue as long as the president wishes it."

He added: "This raises some concerns that the president has plunged America into a war that could profit his family."

Donald Trump Jr. had previously invested in another startup drone company, "Anusual Machines," which was also mentioned in the press release as a supporter of "Poweros" projects.

The organization "CREW" has released several reports accusing the Trump administration of conflicts of interest, including the family's investment in cryptocurrencies promoted by the White House.
