What is the death toll from the war on Iran in the Middle East?

SadaNews - Hundreds have been killed across the Middle East since the outbreak of the American-Israeli war on Iran on February 28, with Iranian attacks targeting American bases and sites in Gulf countries, and Hezbollah quickly joining Iran's side as well.

Below is the death toll in the war so far according to reports from the relevant countries up to the afternoon of March 9, more than a week after the war began.

Iran

The Iranian Red Crescent reported that at least 1,230 people were killed, including 175 schoolgirls and staff in a missile strike on a girls' elementary school in Minab, southern Iran, on the first day of the war. It was unclear whether the death toll included members of the Revolutionary Guard.

The Iranian army stated that at least 104 were killed after an American submarine sank an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka last week. This number was not included in the count announced by the Red Crescent.

Israel

The Israeli army reported that two soldiers were killed in southern Lebanon due to fire from Hezbollah last week, after the war began with attacks on Israeli sites and towns in support of Iran.

The "Magen David Adom" reported that 12 people were killed, including 9 due to a rocket striking a residential area in "Beit Shemesh" near occupied Jerusalem on March 1.

The United States

The U.S. military stated that eight soldiers were killed in Iranian attacks on its bases and other sites in response to the war.

Lebanon

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that at least 394 were martyred in Israeli airstrikes, including 83 children.

Saudi Arabia

Two people were killed when a shell struck a residential area in the city of Al-Kharj, southeast of the capital Riyadh.

Bahrain

The Bahraini Ministry of Interior reported that one person was killed after a fire broke out in the Salman Industrial City following the interception of a missile on March 2.

Kuwait

The Kuwaiti Ministries of Health and Foreign Affairs stated that a child was killed in Iranian attacks on the country.

The Kuwaiti army reported that two internal security officers and two soldiers were killed while performing their duty.

Oman

One person was killed after a shell struck the chemical and oil products tanker (Violet) flying the flag of the Marshall Islands off the coast of Muscat.

The UAE

The Ministry of Defense stated that four people were killed.

Syria

The Syrian official news agency "SANA" reported that four were killed when an Iranian missile struck a building in the city of Sweida, southern Syria on February 28.

Iraq

Iraqi police and health sector officials reported that at least 15 were killed. Police sources stated that a leader of the "Islamic Resistance" in Iraq, a group comprising Hezbollah-affiliated armed factions, was killed in an airstrike on his car on March 5.
