Saudi Arabia and Kuwait Confirm Gulf Coordination Efforts to Preserve Regional Security
SadaNews - Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah confirmed the ongoing efforts to enhance joint coordination among Gulf countries to maintain the security and stability of the region.
The two sides expressed, during a phone call received by Prince Mohammed bin Salman from Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad on Thursday evening, their condemnation of the Iranian attacks against Gulf countries, which are considered a violation of the sovereignty, security, and safety of their peoples, and which have serious implications for regional and international security and stability.
For his part, the Kuwait News Agency reported that Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad emphasized during the call the "necessity of preserving collective security and the complete rejection of anything that could harm Saudi Arabia amid the security tensions in the region," considering that "an attack on Gulf countries is an attack on Kuwait."
The Kuwaiti Crown Prince indicated that "with the wisdom of our leaders, we will overcome this phase with strength and steadfastness," stressing the "importance of enhancing joint Gulf coordination to maintain the security and stability of the region," according to the agency.
On another note, Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, during telephone calls with Prince Mohammed bin Salman, expressed their countries' stance and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in light of the Iranian attacks, supporting its measures to safeguard its security and protect its territories.
The Saudi Crown Prince reviewed with the Djiboutian President the developments in the current military escalation in the region, according to what was published by the Saudi News Agency on Friday morning.
Additionally, the Palestinian news agency reported that President Abbas stressed Palestine's rejection of any aggression against Saudi sovereignty or threats to its security and stability, appreciating the Kingdom's steadfast and supportive positions towards the Palestinian people, praising the strength of the brotherly relations between the two countries, and affirming the necessity of continuing coordination and consultation to face current challenges.
