Israel Issues Death Threat to Khamenei's Successor
SadaNews: Israel issued a "death threat" to the successor of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an attack on Tehran on Saturday.
On Wednesday, the Israeli army's Yisrael Katz said, "Any leader appointed by the Iranian terrorism regime to continue leading the program to destroy Israel, threaten the United States and the free world, and oppress the Iranian people, will be a clear target for elimination."
Katz added on the platform "X": "It doesn't matter what his name is or where he hides."
He continued: "I and Prime Minister (Benjamin Netanyahu) have directed the Israeli army to prepare and work by all means to carry out the mission as an integral part of the objectives of Operation (Lion's Roar), the name chosen by Israel for the attack on Iran."
Katz said: "We will continue to work vigorously, hand in hand with our American partners, to crush the regime's capabilities and create the conditions for the Iranian people to overthrow and replace it."
Khamenei was killed at the beginning of the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran.
Later, U.S. President Donald Trump considered that "the worst thing that could happen in Iran is the selection of a bad leader like Khamenei," as he described it.
The U.S. and Israel launched strikes on a building associated with the Assembly of Experts, tasked with electing a supreme leader to succeed Khamenei.
