Who are the military leaders that Iran announced their deaths?

SadaNews - The Iranian television confirmed today, Sunday, the death of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Minister of Defense Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, the Commander of the Revolutionary Guard, General Mohammad Pakpour, and Advisor to the Leader and Secretary of the Defense Council, Ali Shamkhani.

In turn, the Iranian news agency "ISNA" confirmed the assassination of Mohammad Basiri, one of the senior officials of the Ministry of Intelligence.

Iranian television clarified that the four military leaders were assassinated during an American and Israeli attack that targeted the Defense Council meeting yesterday, Saturday.

The Iranian "Preservation of Sacred Defense Values and Resistance" Foundation mourned the armed forces leaders, stating in a statement: "They were among the martyrs who responded to the call of truth during the Defense Council meeting and joined their fellow martyrs."

It confirmed that the Iranian people "will remain steadfast on the path of Imam Khamenei and will thwart all the schemes of the hostile enemies, and will guide Iran through this fateful turning point to victory and prowess."

This comes hours after Iranian television and U.S. President Donald Trump announced the death of Leader Ali Khamenei during the aggression.

The attack launched by Tel Aviv and Washington against Iran has continued since yesterday morning, Saturday, while Tehran responds by bombarding areas in Israel, as well as targeting American bases in the Gulf.

This aggression comes despite holding three rounds of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States last February, mediated by Oman, in the capital Muscat and the Swiss city of Geneva.
