Netanyahu: Many indicators suggest Khamenei is no longer present... Security official: The assassination was successful

Sada News - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this evening, Saturday, in a press conference held following the recent military developments, that the war on Iran "will continue as long as necessary," emphasizing that the next phase "requires endurance and patience."

Netanyahu stated that the Israeli army destroyed the residence complex of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in the opening strike, and that Khamenei "has spent decades formulating a plan to destroy Israel," adding that this plan "is no longer in existence," and that "many indicators suggest that Khamenei is no longer present."

This comes as Israeli media reported from a high-ranking security source claiming that the Iranian Supreme Leader was killed in the opening strike of the war on Iran. According to Channel 12, senior Israeli officials were informed that Khamenei "was killed during the strike and his body was retrieved from under the rubble of his residence" in Tehran, as per their expression.

According to reports circulating in Israel, Khamenei's body was retrieved from the rubble and was said to have been injured by shrapnel. It was mentioned that documentation of Khamenei's body is now in Israel's possession and has been shown to Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Israeli officials had previously suggested the success of the assassination operation, stating that during the attack on the Iranian Supreme Leader's residence on Saturday morning, 30 bombs were dropped by the Israeli Air Force. According to the report, "Khamenei was underground, but it is likely that he was not in the fortified shelter where he usually resides."

In the same conference, Netanyahu thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for what he described as a "deep partnership," stating that "this war will lead to real peace," considering that the ongoing military operation represents a "critical operation."

He added that "the operation will continue as long as required," reiterating that the current war "will lead to real peace," in his expression. He remarked that "the coming days will witness strikes on thousands of targets in Iran," while announcing "the deaths of senior officials in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the nuclear program in the attacks."

Netanyahu called on Iranians to "take to the streets at the right moment to overthrow the regime," stating that "the moment will come soon to complete the mission," in his words.
