SadaNews - US President Donald Trump stated that he has "many exit points" from the war on Iran, noting that he could prolong the battle or end it within days, while estimates in Tel Aviv indicate that the fighting is still in its early stages and that the objective goes beyond military strikes to preparing conditions for regime change.

Israeli Channel 12 reported on Saturday that the US president claimed he possesses "many exit points" from the ongoing war, asserting that he can "prolong the battle and control everything, or end it within days," as he put it.

In statements to the Israeli channel, the US president added that his decision to wage war on Iran came after what he described as "the Iranians backing away from a deal," adding: "They were close to an agreement then pulled out... I understood that they don't really want a deal."

Trump claimed he requested a report that includes "all the attacks carried out by Iran over the past 25 years," saying: "I saw that they did something bad every month. They blew something up or killed someone."

He added that not attacking Iran in June as part of the "Midnight Hammer" operation would have led, according to his claims, to Iran possessing a nuclear weapon "now."

He noted that he had a "good conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu" on Saturday, saying: "We are on the same wavelength."

Israeli Estimates: Fighting in Its Early Stages

In the same context, Israeli reports indicated that estimates at the political level in Israel suggest that "the fighting is still in its early stages," and is expected to continue for "at least several days."

A senior political official stated that the objectives "are not limited to a pinpoint strike," adding: "Everything is on the table: the missile program, launch platforms, symbols of governance, other ministers, and anything that could destabilize the regime."

The political official added that the goal is to "prepare the conditions for overthrowing the rule," rather than "getting dragged into a long and exhausting battle," as he expressed.

He considered that Israel "is not hiding behind a vague goal," noting that the target, as he expressed, is to "prepare the conditions for overthrowing the rule, not to get dragged into a long and exhausting battle."

He continued, "After the joint strikes with the United States are completed, the Iranians will be given a chance to free themselves from what he described as the constraints of evil that have tightened their grip around their necks for decades."
