Prisoners in Megiddo Prison Suffer from Poor Detention Conditions During Ramadan
SadaNews - The prisoners in Megiddo Prison are suffering from difficult conditions during the blessed month of Ramadan, as they complain about the scarcity and poor quality of Iftar and Suhoor meals, which increases their suffering while they are fasting and presents them with additional challenges amid harsh detention conditions.
A number of administrative prisoners are facing deteriorating health situations due to medical neglect and lack of adequate follow-up, which exacerbates the severity of their condition and puts their lives at risk. At the same time,
the prisoners are complaining about a shortage of cleaning supplies inside the rooms, which negatively affects their sanitary environment, in addition to the reduction of the daily "fawra" (break time) to less than an hour in some sections, limiting their ability to breathe freely or engage in any physical activity.
Prisoners' media has called on human rights and humanitarian organizations for urgent intervention and pressure to improve detention conditions and ensure the minimum levels of food, healthcare, and basic needs, asserting that the continuation of these policies constitutes a flagrant violation of internationally guaranteed human rights.
