Trump: Our Army is the Strongest and We Will Not Allow Iran to Develop Its Nuclear Program
SadaNews - US President Donald Trump stated that the United States has the strongest army in the world, warning that any country that questions Washington's resolve will face an unbeatable force, expressing hope that he would not have to use it.
In his State of the Union address before Congress on Wednesday, Trump talked about military operations that he described as successful, referring to an operation carried out by US forces in Venezuela earlier this year, which he considered a major military achievement that bolstered US security and opened new opportunities for the Venezuelan people.
He clarified that the US military campaign in the Caribbean and Pacific regions contributed to stopping large quantities of drugs from entering his country, and also confirmed cooperation with the new leadership in Venezuela to achieve mutual economic gains.
The US president stated that he prefers to resolve the confrontation with Iran through diplomatic means, but he warned that he would never allow Tehran to develop a nuclear weapon.
He accused Iran of seeking to develop missiles capable of striking the United States, a technology that is possessed by a limited number of countries.
Trump said in his State of the Union address, "We are in negotiations with them, and they want to make a deal, but we have not heard from them those secret words: 'We will never possess a nuclear weapon'."
He added, "I prefer to solve this problem through diplomacy, but one thing is certain: I will never allow the world's number one state sponsor of terrorism, which they largely are, to possess a nuclear weapon."
On international affairs, Trump stated that he ended several wars during the early months of his presidency, affirming his commitment to seeking peace, and he also pointed to his country's intensive efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump announced that the United States has returned stronger and richer than ever before, affirming that his administration has achieved a historic turnaround within one year of taking office.
He criticized the Supreme Court's decision regarding tariffs, considering that it saved hundreds of billions and could replace income taxes in the future.
On economic matters, he accused the administration of former President Joe Biden of causing rising inflation, pledging to lower drug prices and improve the healthcare system by directing funding directly to citizens.
On security, Trump confirmed that the borders are now secure and that the flow of irregular migrants and fentanyl drugs has significantly decreased, pointing to a record decline in crime rates.
In the energy and investment sector, he announced an increase in oil production and a new partnership with Venezuela, along with massive investment commitments from countries around the world, and spoke about launching a campaign to combat corruption and enacting the largest tax cuts in the country's history.
It is noteworthy that the Republican president broke his record for a presidential address before Congress of one hour and 40 minutes, which he set last March when he gave an annual speech unrelated to the State of the Union.
