The Muslim World League Condemns Huckabee's Statements as 'False'
SadaNews: The Muslim World League condemned the statements made by the U.S. Ambassador to the Israeli occupation government, which indicated acceptance of Israel's control over lands belonging to Arab countries, including the occupied Palestinian territory, particularly East Jerusalem.
In a statement from the League's General Secretariat, Secretary-General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, denounced these false and irresponsible statements, which represent an unprecedented disregard for the security of the region and the sovereignty of its countries, as well as a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, contradicting the clear commitments in the American peace plan.
He reiterated that the only guarantor for achieving the desired peace and stability in the region is the enforcement of international legitimacy resolutions and their appeals, including Security Council resolutions, and the "New York Declaration" for the two-state solution, supported by the UN General Assembly's resolution on the historic and firm right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of their state. He emphasized that this right cannot be influenced by such statements, which lack the slightest degree of political responsibility.
