Organization of Islamic Cooperation Condemns Huckabee's Statements
SadaNews - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned the dangerous and irresponsible statements made by the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, characterizing them as an unacceptable call for the expansion of Israel, the occupying power, and its seizure of more Palestinian and Arab lands, based on a narrative and false historical and ideological claims that violate the sovereignty of states, diplomatic norms, the principles of international law, and United Nations resolutions and its charter.
The General Secretariat of the organization warned that this extremist ideological discourse would fuel extremism and encourage the Israeli occupation to continue its illegal actions based on displacement, settlement, and annexation, and attempts to impose annexation of the occupied Palestinian land, a situation that threatens security and stability in the entire region.
The General Secretariat of the organization reiterated its firm and absolute support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent sovereign state within the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
