The Occupation Extends Settler Storming of Al-Aqsa by One Additional Hour During Ramadan
SadaNews - The Jerusalem Governorate stated that what the Israeli occupation authorities have done by extending the settlers' storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque for one additional hour daily during the holy month of Ramadan is considered a serious escalation.
The governorate expressed today, Wednesday, its deep concern that this temporary measure could turn into a permanent policy extending beyond Ramadan, deeming this decision a serious escalation that undermines the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque and constitutes a blatant provocation to the feelings of Muslims in Jerusalem, Palestine, and the entire world.
It clarified that the decision came alongside incitement campaigns led by extremist colonial associations, which included the dissemination of videos calling for the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque and promoting false religious narratives claiming that the site is sacred to Jews, in a clear attempt to impose a new reality by force and entrench temporal and spatial division of the mosque.
The Jerusalem Governorate affirmed that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is a purely Islamic place of worship, and all discriminatory measures against it are void and illegal, representing a blatant violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
With the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the occupation forces had extended the duration of settlers' incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque by one additional hour, bringing it to five hours per day.
