Amid Regional Tension.. Israel Conducts Military Drills in Eilat
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army announced early Thursday the execution of a military maneuver in the city of Eilat, located on the Red Sea coast, amidst a high state of security alert and escalating regional tensions.
The occupation army clarified in a statement published via the "X" platform that the maneuver will involve intense movements of security, emergency, and rescue forces, in addition to the deployment of ships in the area, as part of exercises aimed at enhancing operational readiness.
The statement emphasized that "there is no danger of security incidents," noting that in the event of any real emergency, residents will be informed through official security channels.
This maneuver comes at a time when Israel is in a state of high alert at the highest levels of security and military readiness, amid rising regional tensions and threats of a new confrontation with Iran.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had held a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, during which they discussed the course of negotiations with Iran regarding its nuclear program, with Netanyahu stressing the need to consider Israel's security needs in any potential agreements.
The maneuver in Eilat reflects the ongoing preparations of the Israeli army to deal with potential escalation scenarios on multiple fronts.
