Launch of the Palestinian Women's Choir in London to Preserve Palestinian Artistic and Cultural Heritage

SadaNews - The Women's Committee of the Palestinian Community Association in London has announced the launch of the Palestinian Women's Choir, which aims to preserve and promote Palestinian artistic and cultural heritage among members of the Palestinian community and its supporters in the diaspora. The first artistic sessions of the choir commenced today under the leadership of artist and expert in Palestinian folk arts, Professor Lina Saleh.

The first session witnessed a large attendance of Palestinian, Arab, and foreign women of various ages, who enthusiastically participated in singing experiences in an atmosphere filled with joy and great interaction. Professor Lina Saleh possesses extensive experience in Palestinian art and folk heritage, adding a special significance to this initiative.

Professor Lina Saleh expressed her satisfaction with the beginning of the singing experiences today and the enthusiasm shown by all participants, considering it an encouraging start that instills great optimism. She added: "This significant interaction reflects the longing of Palestinian and Arab women to preserve their identity and heritage, and I am very optimistic about the future of this choir."

For her part, Professor Mai Abed, the coordinator of the Women's Committee in the association, expressed her happiness with the interaction that characterized the first day of singing experiences. She emphasized the importance of this initiative and the association's focus on it, highlighting the role of women in preserving Palestinian identity, history, and cultural heritage. She affirmed the committee's ambition to develop the initiative and expand participation for women of all ages.

In turn, Dr. Nihad Khatatbeh, president of the community association, expressed his overwhelming joy at the official launch of the Palestinian Women's Choir and the interest the initiative has garnered from various nationalities, cultural backgrounds, and age groups. He regarded this as part of the association's vision to expand cultural initiatives that focus on reviving and promoting Palestinian cultural heritage horizontally and vertically among members of the community and their supporters. He expressed his deep gratitude to the Women's Committee and its coordinator, as well as to Professor Lina Saleh for her efforts and willingness to lead and support the choir to achieve the vision and goals of the Palestinian community association in launching initiatives that strengthen the connections of Palestinians in the diaspora with their roots in the homeland, Palestine.
