French Foreign Minister calls for equipping Lebanese Army with capabilities to complete disarmament of 'Hezbollah'
SadaNews - French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot emphasized the importance of equipping the Lebanese Army with capabilities to continue its mission in disarming 'Hezbollah' on Friday, just before his arrival in Beirut, amid American and Israeli pressures to expedite this mission.
Barrot stated in comments to the French press agency at Erbil Airport before boarding his flight to Beirut: 'France's vision for Lebanon is that it is a strong and sovereign country that has a monopoly on weapons,' explaining that 'the first step to achieve this mission is to equip the Lebanese armed forces with the necessary capabilities to continue the disarmament process of (Hezbollah).'
