Report: Any US Attack on Iran is Not Imminent as Washington Has Not Completed Deploying Its Defense System in the Region

SadaNews Translation - A report in The Wall Street Journal stated that US airstrikes against Iran are not expected in the near future, as the United States continues to transfer air defense capabilities to the region in anticipation of any Iranian response.

The report added according to SadaNews, "The US military can conduct limited airstrikes today if the president orders it, but a 'decisive' attack like the one Trump sought to prepare for is expected to provoke a widespread Iranian reaction, which requires the United States to continue bolstering its air defense system to protect Israel and US forces in the region."

It continued, "The US military has not yet completed the deployment of the THAAD battery and Patriot batteries at the bases where US troops are stationed in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar."

The Wall Street Journal report also noted: "In the war with Iran last June, the US military launched 150 THAAD missiles, which is nearly a quarter of the total number of such missiles that the Pentagon has ever purchased."
