Iranian Army Commander: Any Aggression Will Face a Severe Response Inflicting Damage on the Aggressor and Israel

SadaNews - The Iranian Army Commander, General Amir Hatami, warned today, Saturday, that any aggression against Iran "will face a severe response causing significant damage to the aggressor," adding during a festival for the Iranian air defense forces, "If the enemy makes a mistake, it will undoubtedly jeopardize its own security, the security of the region, and the security of the Zionist entity."

Hatami stated - according to the official Iranian news agency (IRNA) - that "Iranian forces are on full defensive and military alert and are closely monitoring enemy movements in the region, and we are on high alert."

He added that "our neighbors have declared that they will not allow the misuse of their lands and space against Iran," noting that "this is commendable since they know that any feeling of insecurity towards Iran will make the entire region unsafe."

The Iranian Army Commander stated that his country’s nuclear technology "cannot be eradicated," following comments from US President Donald Trump who predicted that Iran would seek a deal to avoid American strikes.

On Friday, President Trump said that Iran truly wants to reach an agreement with the United States, expressing hope that this would be achieved.

During a ceremony for signing presidential orders at the White House, Trump mentioned that the US is currently sending a large number of ships toward Iran, hoping to reach an agreement, adding, "If we reach an agreement, that will be good, and if we do not reach an agreement, we will see what happens."

Hatami further stated that "the nuclear science and technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran cannot be eradicated, even if scientists and sons of this homeland are martyred."

The Missile Force

He said, "Our missile force, defensive power, and other aspects of our defensive strength are in a superior position and of higher quality than before the 12-day war."

On June 13, 2025, Israel, with US support, launched a 12-day attack on Iran targeting military and nuclear sites and civilian facilities, assassinating leaders and scientists, while Iran responded by targeting Israeli military and intelligence headquarters with missiles and drones.

The Army Commander confirmed that "Iran has never invaded any country, but threatening a great country like Iran is a grave mistake," stating, "Our dedicated soldiers and seasoned leaders in wars are on high alert to respond. If the enemy seeks to resolve the issue, they must treat Iran with respect."

The United States warned yesterday the Iranian Revolutionary Guard that it "will not accept unsafe actions" in the Strait of Hormuz after Tehran announced a two-day live-fire naval exercise there.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM), responsible for the Middle East, stated that the American military will not tolerate "unsafe" maneuvers such as flying over US warships, including the approach of Iranian fast boats in a colliding path with American ships.

CENTCOM added that "any unsafe and unprofessional behavior near US forces or regional partners or commercial vessels increases the risks of collision, escalation, and destabilization."
