Trump Welcomes the Recovery of the Remains of the Last Israeli Hostage... Praising His Team's Efforts as 'Heroes'
SadaNews - In his first comment on the recovery of the remains of Israel's last hostage in Gaza, U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed the step, praising his team's efforts in this regard.
Trump wrote on the platform "Truth Social": "The remains of the last hostage in Gaza have been recovered. Thus, all twenty living hostages and all the deceased have been recovered! A fantastic job! Most people thought it was impossible." He added: "Congratulations to my wonderful team of heroes!".
The Israeli army announced today (Monday) that it has recovered the remains of Israeli police officer Ran Givli, the last hostage held in the Gaza Strip since the Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
The army added that the recovery of all living and deceased hostages in Gaza completes a fundamental point in the first part of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the recovery of the remains of the "last hostage" held in the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu said, "This is an extraordinary achievement for the State of Israel. We promised - and I promised - to bring everyone back. And we have brought them all back, even the last hostage." He added: "It is a great achievement for the Israeli army, for the State of Israel, and also for the citizens of Israel," pointing out that Israeli forces found the body based on intelligence information obtained from the Hamas movement.
